Illini Valley Chapter

Sunlight filters through lush green trees in a serene forest scene featuring a wooden bridge spanning a small gorge. A shaded dirt path leads to a quiet area with a fire pit and fallen logs, surrounded by tall trees and dense foliage.

Illini Valley Chapter History

The Illini Valley Chapter is a proud part of the newly unified NorthWest Illinois Alliance of REALTORS®. Formerly known as the Illini Valley Association of REALTORS® (IVAR), this chapter brings a strong legacy of advocacy, education, and community involvement to the Alliance. IVAR has long served real estate professionals in LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam counties—offering members valuable resources, professional development opportunities, and a voice in local and state housing policy.

Over the years, IVAR championed countless initiatives, from hosting continuing education courses and networking events to supporting local charitable causes and affordable housing efforts. Now as part of NWIAR, the Illini Valley Chapter continues to build on that strong foundation—ensuring members have access to the tools, connections, and support they need to thrive in today’s dynamic real estate industry.

Illini Valley Chapter in the Community

We were proud to be part of Cedar Point’s dedication of Coal Miner’s Park, the first phase of the Village’s Mining for Music initiative. The project celebrates community creativity and local heritage with public art, pollinator gardens, handcrafted benches, and a Little Free Library.

Through a $7,500 national Placemaking Grant, REALTORS® helped make this vision possible alongside local students, artists, and community partners. Coal Miner’s Park is just the beginning, with future phases to include new bus shelters for school children and the planned Miner’s Memorial Stage at Cerri Park.

REALTORS® invest $7,500 to spark real conversations and real solutions for homelessness in the Illinois Valley

the Illini Valley Association of REALTORS® awarded a $7,500 grant to Illinois Valley Community College (IVCC) to support a community homelessness solutions program. The funding facilitated an educational expo at IVCC, featuring a screening of the documentary Americans with No Address and a panel discussion with local and state advocates. The event aimed to raise awareness and foster community dialogue about homelessness, particularly its impact on students and families in the Illinois Valley region. IVCC President Dr. Tracy Morris emphasized the importance of such initiatives in addressing housing insecurity among students and the broader community. The grant was part of a broader collaboration between IVCC, Illinois Valley PADS, and other local organizations committed to developing long-term solutions to homelessness
